Hi Folks,
I have recently aquired a Clarkson Cutter Grinder Mk1.
It came with a manual that details no maintenance procedures.
There appears to be a "filler" hole on the Top LHS of the box containing the spindle.
Does anybody know if this is a oil filler point and if so what lubricant I should use.

Thanks
Billm
Hopefully this post will include a picture, however I am new to this game and the attachment tool doesnt want to play ball.

Hopefully there is a picture on this. The picture shows the spindle housing with the white arrow pointing to the filler hole?? and the removed filler plug screw just sat on the upper surface.

There is a class of grinder spindles that have plain bronze bearings
that are so closely fit, that the lubrication is "Keroseen" !

Anything with higher viscocity won't get into the bearing.
Can you get a pic or two of the spindle housing?
That could help determine what type of bearings you have.
