I have a DoAll D618-7 surface grinder
Manual shows nut on the spindle that is indicated as spindle lock. Tightening or loosening seems to have no effect.
Any one have any knowledge regarding this.
I would appreciate any help.

Don't know tony.. it may be gummed up from lack of use so engaging it may lock the spindle and you would need tear down to to get machine running..Most surface grinder don't have that as just holding the wheel is good for tightening. I like a little more than one hand tight so I one hand tighten, then set the wrench on a block and go just a little more with holding the wheel with two hands..

I appreciate the relies. I think I will just leave it alone since I was finally able to remove the hub and wheel. Now it is no problem to hold well enough to remove and install wheels and hubs.
Thanks guys.
