Dressing a diamond wheel

I do quite a bit of grinding of ceramics and use mostly resin bonded diamond wheels. Generally the wheels stay pretty true, but invariably someone (sometimes me) will screw up and the wheel needs dressed. I tried a single point diamond once, but that just ended up in a flat diamond. Running them minus coolant on a porous ceramic will take material off the wheel, but it more or less takes it off everywhere insted of just the high points. Any suggestions for dressing resin bonded diamond wheels would be greatly appreciated.

The wheel should be indicated to the hub and then finished up with a brake dresser which is an aluminum oxide wheel run against the diamond wheel but slowed by a brake mechanism to remove the resinoid bond and true the wheel. Check with your wheel supplier or E-bay.

Many thanks. A lot of good information in that thread. Now I'm down to either laying out the cash to get one, or spending the time to make one.
