Default Gallmeyer & Livingston Surface grinder - Table shock adjustment

Anybody know where the shock adjustment is on a G&L Surface grinder? I have a Model 65, but I imagine it is much the same throughout the range.

There is a needle valve in the bottom of the main valve underneath the saddle.turning it clockwise with a screwdriver makes reversal smoother but increases over run.Find a balance that suits you. There is also one in the saddle reversal pilot valve on the right hand side of the saddle;clockwise decreases shock.Let it warm up first before making any adjustments.

    Randy,
There are 2 set screws (with lock nuts) on each side of the valve casting. Are these what you refer to? If so, which control the the long travel and which the cross? Thanks

No,there should be a hole underneath the main valve body at left front near the cross feed screw.Mine is a 70's era, maybe early or later ones are different?
