Looking for advice, pictures, links, etc. for building a fixture for hand stoning reamers. Not attempting anything like a full regrind, just want to be able to touch up minor nicks and get it sharp again.

The Machinist's Bedside Reader ??

had some ideas, If I remember correctly. Gunsmithing ?? I think
may have been the driving topic.

I use a diamond cup wheel and hand work them.....
But haveing made hundreds of Rib-Cutters, for Die-cast molds,
I'm used to hand stabillity, It takes some practice.

And "Yes" you can touch-up high-speed on a diamond wheel......
just don't over do it, and the wheel will free-cut.

Like surface grinding aluminum, light passes and it works fine.
Good Luck.

Yes, exactly like that. A fixture that restore life to "slightly" dull reamers. Something that doesn't require the steady hands of a surgeon. I think I can interpolate enough of the dimensions from the image and some information I found in the Machinists Bedside Reader to build my own. Thanks to all.
