....but seriously, it looks like it is shop made and not just repurposed. It is strange to add height to a grinding jig, you always want room under the wheel, don't you? And what is the purpose of the undercut on the dovetails slides? clearance for what? if it was a jig, there are no boltholes or slots to attach anything to it. That makes it more curious 
. I will figure it out sooner or later.
