I'll start - I have a Gallmeyer and Livingston 12 x 24 surface grinder - wheel size 14 x 1-1/2 x 5 - speed 1750 RPM - My favorite wheel is a Radiac 8BP46-H800-VOS. It does an acceptable job on everything - comesinto its prime on stuff like hardened A2 and M4. The M4 still grinds like a you know what, but once you get one side flat it likes heavy cuts at narrow cross feed. I have not experimented much with my taft pierce #1, but it has a 60 grit Aluminum oxide wheel - does a nice job on finish but burns in heavy grinding
