Wheel for grinding Kurt jaws

Surface finish is not as important as avoiding a burn and warp so a course wheel would be my choice. Perhaps a 46h to 46 k (name brand ) running wet.

Even a 36h to 36K would be good (perhaps better)IMHO.

Any time you tend to burn.. then down feed or cross feed on the grind side only..Still chance to burn add a little over travel at each end..

I would down feed full wheel width but if you are net experienced with that then stick to incremental cross. (Yes it is good to have a 3hp spindle for full wheel down feed.)

Think a (name brand)white AO wheel as good as any nd better than most. Grey wheels may hold up better but more tend to burn.. Radiac pink wheel is good..

IMHO

Don't know about the hardness depth.. perhaps some on does.
