I'm about to purchase a Sidney lathe but it does not have a manual for it, any chance anyone has a manual for A Sidney lathe circa 1940s? It is a Sidney 16 inch lathe with 8 ft bed I think? serial # is in the 8000 range. Any help is very much appreciated.
I got mine on ebay. Ozark something or other has reproductions. I have a 1943 16"x 8' 16 speed Sidney. Theres a video of it during cleanup on youtube. Fantastic machines!
Thanks for the info guys, I'll keep that in mind. I pmd b2major9th and he is going to email me a copy of his manual. I'll wait for that and see if it applies to my machine. Man this Sidney lathe is stout and well built, can't wait to be able to put it to use. I'll post lots of pics when it's delivered.
