Not sure what this is for. Has a dovetail slide and adjusts a few different directions with degree marks. I have it on a cinder block, for size comparison. What's is it? What does it fit? Thanks John

That is a South Bend Lathe milling attachment (big one).
What is the diameter of the pilot on the bottom? The other dimensions would help too.
There should be a number stamped on the front.

Do some reading on the subject of electrolytic derusting.

A bit of work, and you can have a useful enough tool.

'Course, you could just slather it in gray porch paint and get the same amount of money for it on ebay, now that you know it's a South Bend. :)

In any case, rough as it is, it can still become useful to someone.

Cheers

It's not stuck, so it's not that bad. I did a magazine article on electrolysis a few years back, so doing that wouldn't be a problem. I have bought complete antique engines from ebay that was totally empty inside, so I am very cautious about buying and honest about selling.
