So it's snowing pretty good in the NY metro area and they sent us home from work
early. I've got to do the snowblower thing later on but in the meantime I decided to
work on the turret restoration project that's under way.

The small rotating element that has the stop rods in it was missing *one* brass
shoe under the clamping setscrew. Easy to make but I didn't feel like turning on
the phase converter so I used the (single phase) cataract lathe to make the
tiny brass shoe.

Basically this is the first part made in earnest on the lathe and it seems to work
just fine. The countershaft is pretty rickety and vibrates quite a bit. Something
else that just needs a bit of TLC.
Still kinda nice to put that lathe to work.
