A hot California afternoon looking at some rules I haven't played with for awhile. As you can see I have a few:)

The Ivory is a near mint ( one chip ) Ivory Stanley # 39 still retaining its alignment pins.

The second is marked " NAVY ORDNANCE" Patented January 12th 1858...Warranted. No.36. It is made by L C Stephens and Co..an early model.

Top Inclinometer rule is a two foot folder with level bubble marked Lufkin. No. 863L.

The second is also a two foot folding Stanley Rule and Level company. It is marked # 82. This is a fairly rare rule. I believe it has "Gunter" scales engraved on it but I'm not completely sure.

I wish they were in better shape:) Forty years plus I have picked up rules here and there. Now I realize I have a pretty good collection.

Posted for your enjoyment on this Sunday afternoon :)
