Hi thanks John this lathe had been for sale for over a month but i had read about the threading system on the hendey's and honestly thats what sold me on buying it.
I was hoping to get some history on the lathe from hendeyman
i know the guy i got it from had it 7 years and he got it from his father in law who was a diesel marine mechanic who had it for a good part of his career but thats all i know.

I had been watching that lathe on Craigslist for a while and arguing with myself about buying it. Couldn't quite manage to pull the trigger. A beautiful machine at a great price--good luck with it.

Thanks Tom I had been looking at it for a while also and the pictures he had did not do it justice but i was only 2 miles away so after i saw it i had to have it. it took 4 guys and a skid steer to get it. I got it sat. morning and just dropped it off by my garage and then had to go to work all weekend so i didnt even get to play with it yet, today i am going to do a little cleaning and get her in the shop.
