This is a very heavy duty drill press built probably 100 years ago. It has been converted to run on an electric motor. It has 4 belt speeds, a back gear, and power quill feed. The spindle is a #3 morse taper, no chuck or tooling included. I have had it for about 6 years but rarely use it so it's time for it to go. asking $500 OBO located in Troy Illinois about 20 minutes from St. Louis. 618-420-0546 can't figure out how to add pictures can text if you are interested.

Use the EDIT button and "Go Advanced" to add pictures. It's under "Manage Attachments"
Your difficulty is that you can't add pictures to a new post, only an existing post. Well, now you have an existing post!

So, what is the distance between the center of the chuck and the column ? This is the "reach" of the press, and will make a big difference to prospective buyers. This is one of the things that determines if the press is truly "large"

How does the table look? Is it clean, or covered with drill scars? Does it have the "Arc of Shame" where some klutz made an arc of drill scars?

The maker's name will be cast into the main casting. There may also be a brass dealer's plate, but that's the dealer who originally sold it, NOT the maker.

What sort of motor? Single- or Three-Phase? Voltages?

Welcome to the forum!
