Does anyone have any knowledge about a machine like this?

Slight correction.... A Heavy thread mill.

Are those some kind of dies sitting to the right? and do they go in that holder behind the spindle that would swing around?.... I have no idea how this machine works. Thanks

Loose change gears to obtain needed leed (lead?). Cutter head swivels to obtain proper thread angle. Indexing attachment of sorts on headstock for multi starts.

Cuts v and acme threads if you can find cutters. But will cut so much more. Suspect CNC has hit these hard

I have no idea how this machine works.

Chuck up work, put a thread milling cutter on (also made at P&W) gear it up right and cut really nice threads.

I believe the die looking objects are work pieces from a long ago job.

A few searches at Ebay will likely turn up a brochure.

Any P&W cutting tool catalog will list the cutters that were available though many were made to order.

I don't believe so. I don't own it, the photograph was snapped in a working shop, not near me. But, like everything else, it will surely be sold sometime.
