Hey guys, I recently bought a antique 3 drawer cash register.

I'm trying to date it, I know it came from the north east, found a stamp with a Rhode Island address

the tag says

the national cash register co.
40 cycles/Ac ,110v,2amp n.c.r.co

It must weigh 2-300lbs and is wood and metal construction .

Any ideas on the 40 cycle a/c power

Looks similar to this onehttps://new.liveauctioneers.com/item/17339648_national-cash-register-model-no-105-5c-saloonparlor-r

It may run just fine on 60Hz. I'd think the only problem might be something inside might run too fast, it it uses the line frequency for timing, or if there are synchronous motors.

Pull the cash drawer out and look on the bottom.
The earlier Nationals had an information sheet glued on.
Date, model, who ordered it etc.
