Found this old motor from "Racine Universal Motor Co., Racine Wisconsin". It has the logo RACE S and "trade mark reg. u.s pat. off." with no. 29670 anyone have a clue what this motor was used for I tried searching but couldn’t find anything

In the absence of a picture, I can only say that Racine was the home of many companies that made universal motors. Those are fractional horsepower series-wound motors with commutators that can operate on AC or DC voltage and run at high speed, usually 8000 to 15000 RPM.

Such motors can be integrated into portable electric tools like drills, sewing machines and malt mixers or they can be made as separate devices with belt pulleys to run any small machines like watchmaker lathes.
