I need a small-ish manual mill for an upcoming project. It's going on a wooden floor, so it needs to be sub 1000 lbs (give or take). This is to tide me over until I can complete my workshop expansion and get a full-sized machine.
That said, I want a quality machine that I can keep around for smaller work in the "clean" side of the shop.
I will be doing very light milling work in wood and soft metals (3" x 2" x 1" blocks of material), mostly boring work in wood. A jig borer could also work for me. I will also consider a horizontal mill.
Needs to be able to bore a 3 1/4" deep hole.
Open to pretty much anything under $2000 CDN. Will arrange pick-up in Ontario. I am located in Huntsville.
Thanks!
