I didn't see much out west so I thought that I'd throw my hat in. I travel around the west for work a bit and am often all alone in my one ton dually. I also like to drive to new places with little to no excuse and with the falling fuel prices it is lees painful. I have a couple of trailers (3,500 lb and 14,000 lb enclosed gooseneck) that occasionally follow me as well. I am in 84062 zipcode in somewhat of a heavy tool desert as well as the literal desert.
Let me know if I can help.

Shoulda done this sooner.
I'm just North of I 80 in South Central Nebraska. Can put up haulers overnight, provide a free tour that's worth every cent, transfer and store equipment.
I have a pair of 5K forklifts, and a pickup/gooseneck good for 15K. One forklift is all terrain, can use it plus the gooseneck to retrieve and deliver loads within a limited area subject to my schedule. When my boomtruck feels like running I can pick and haul 8k but it isn't much of a highway machine.

I guess that I could throw my hat in the ring too.
I've got a couple of trailers, the heavier one is 6.5 by 16 feet with 6000 lb axles and a heavy 3/4 ton pickup that is experienced in hauling.
I'm in the Carbondale Illinois area and hate to see old iron wasted.

Sign me up too.
I can be of assistance with transfering loads at my shop which is near and inbetween Burlington, NC and Durham, NC just off of I-85/I-40. I occasionally make some small trips and could do some hauling. I have a one ton roll back with 19 ft bed and can haul up to 5500 lbs.

Archie:
I am posting this according to the suggestion you made in your PM. While I am located about 50 miles from I10, there is plenty of room to park semi-trailers and load and unload
machinery. At the present time, I can only handle items up to about 15000lbs,but when
I get my cranes moved back home this summer, I should be able to handle 25 ton loads.
All trailers and machinery can be storaged without regard to time. To help you get the
pin in the right spot on the map, my ZIP is 85610.

Haulers' group public map . . .
Antique Machinery Haulers' Group Public Map
This is a public version of the map Hendeyman is talking about -- we use a version with more personal details for planning hauls. Zoom in and have fun with it -- the locations on the map are the centers of the members' ZIP code area, so you will not invade their privacy . . .

Please add me to the group. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a small cast iron collection. I don't have heavy transport, but I'm happy to help out.
Cheers,
Gary

Sign me up. No storage, too much of my own stuff. I've got a flat car trailer, Dodge 2500 diesel, an Isuzu box with liftgate (local only), and a 5500lb forklift in east LA county. I make runs to Denver a few times a year.

Yup, I'm in. Put me in the "supporter" category as I'm hauling challenged (with a 4x8 single axle trailer max cap 2000 and a VW Diesel Golf to pull it.)
And my wife recently discovered there's space in the garage for her car now that the Model AA Chassis has departed.

I lease a shop in Amarillo, TX off of I-40 as a way point for haulers. Can park anything on asphalt or dirt. Couldn't get a very big trailer inside and close the door. Bathroom, tools etc. Shawn

Whoops. Just re-read the top post. Please delete this post. Will post my concerns elsewhere.

Please sign me up
This sounds like a worthy cause, please sign me up. My light truck has proved adequate to haul machines weighing 1500-pounds somewhat long distances (as in from Portland, Oregon to Spokane). I am just off I-90 in the machinery-sparse country of the Inland Northwest.
I may be able to store machines under cover for a short period during the fairer seasons; during the snowy months I need the garage for vehicles.
Yours, E.Grim
Spokane, Wash.
P.S. Hello Eric LaVelle! Hope you & yours are well. How's the line shaft shop coming?

I reckon I'm not good for too much besides another pair of hands/eyes right now, but sign me up. In a couple of years I aim on settling down to a shop and a good trailer for hauling old machinery
