    Default Fay & Scott lathe

I thought that might be of some interest to some of you here. I have not seen it, and I am not associated with the seller.

Not a wood lathe at all although perhaps used as one for the latter half of it's life. Pricing a little speculative but perhaps the owner might be negotiable? It does have some "goodies" to go with it - like the drive yoke - and perhaps some more stuff from either it's machinist or woodworker life.

I did have a Fay & Scott woodworking lathe which I sold - not too large, perhaps 14" swing and was good for the homeowner. This was the "three legged lathe" which I replaced the foot on (and did a credible job ahem - the repair was virtually undetectable.)

Looks like some sort of a possibly complete treadle machine sitting up behind the lathe. If they're clearing out, possibly it's all for sale.

Um. I think that's a treadle Singer Sewing machine. You can almost see the backwards "S" in the cast iron logo.

Got one of those. They're great for sewing seat covers for a Model A Ford. (got a lot more umph when you need it for fabric penetration.)
