rmw:
After a detailed search of the records, I haven't been able to find any information regarding Hendey lathe #38293H1316 other than it was scheduled for completion during the last week of October 1952. All of the serial number information for numbers 38290 through 38299 are available,
except 38293. Sometimes the number is cancelled and then reassigned at a later time, with that in mind, I searched from a thousand numbers
before 38293 through the end of production in 1954. No luck. I suspect a misfile and it will require more time to find the information you requested,
sorry for the delay.

Thank you, Hendeyman. It has hard ways, 18 speed, 16-1000. 220/440. So I was thinking this was probably one of their latest ones. I understand how they moved serial numbers - just wanted to be pretty sure of its age.
Thanks,
Greg
