I just posted this locally; I thought someone here might be interested.
South Bend Model 9A Metal Lathe

Sounded kinda steep until I read the list of accessories and tooling!
That's just about every SB 9" accessory I've ever heard of except the follower rest.

Yep, if it does not sell right away, I will reduce the price a little. Then I will reduce the price in larger amounts, but the goodies start going away in proportion.
Gotta recoup some of the cost of my Heavy 10 acquisition.

I just sold a 9A last week for $650. Put an ad in the NEPA Papershop and I had a buyer before it even got to print. He found it on the internet site the day I listed it. Sold with a 3 jaw chuck, steady rest and misc tooling. He also bought a Bridgeport with dro, X axis auto feed box. and a set of collets for 2500.00.
I bought a Lagun FTV-3 with a 40 taper spindle to replace the Bridgeport in fact I bought thee of them.

I want to apologize to Frank as it seemed I was undercutting his price on his lathe compared to the one I sold. The fact is that his lathe included many more accessories and tooling and made the lathe worth a lot more than the one I sold. The collet closer and collets, 4 jaw chuck and faceplate, lathe dogs, taper attachment are well worth the 350 dollar differemce in the price. Just try to locate all that stuff seperately and then price it out. I sold mine the day it was listed and this is a better deal than the one I sold.

Just did, thanks.

Frank.
Don't be in a hurry reducing the price.
You sure aren't out of line. Kenny

Ah yes, the follower rest. The ugly sister of the center rest.

I just added an original tool rack to the package. Now you get more for your money.

I agree on the price. I have a very similar 9a, well tooled but without the taper attachment. It will bring $1500 here in North Texas should I decide to sell it.
I know prices are lower in the NE.

Wow, that is exactly what I am looking for, and you are only about 20 miles away. Too bad I don't have that kind of money right now ...
