Hmmm....sheetmetal guarding eh ? Isn't that a bit like saying "Ford Taurus for sale, complete with *rubber* tires"

Course there were those eary Haas VMC's with plastic guards

Don,
I looked at Fadal VMC 15 that was a few years old and it didn't have any sheetmetal or toolchanger,stripped down.It was similar to a Haas Toolrom without the handwheels that you don't like.

I'm still looking at what is available at bottomfeeder budget without getting stuck with a machine that is problematic.I'm not quite in the buying mode for a CNC mill presently.

Though I might actually buy something if it goes for a fire sale price, minus the fire at auction, and Whiskers from the catfish cartel gives the thumbs up.
