Quick portable EDM to remove carbide drill

I will be using some small #44 carbide drills on a job and will probably end up breaks at least one. Does anyone know of a quick simple to build EDM unit that I can get made quickly to remover the drills? The job will be run on a CNC VMC.

Why not look into using a hole-popper to make this hole in the first place? Sounds like you'll need to be making a setup for the hole popper anyway... you might save yourself a few steps and a lot of headaches by using EDM from the start.

Chevalier makes one that attaches to a standard machine tool for small/simple EDM jobs. Might be a bit overkill for your application but it is there. Probably not nearly in the price range you are looking for though.
