Hey I am looking at using an EDM to accurately slicing tissue samples. I know it has been done before I think I will only need around 1-2A of current and the removal rate is not that important.

I was wondering if you could tel me what the power requirements for an EDM are?. I was thinking 300V 1A and around 1-3MHz frequency of pulses.

Can it be run of _+150V ? Other do you know where I can get an RF signal generator

I don't know about other than our mitsubushi wedm's, but they average about 40-50v, pulsed DC, unknown frequency to me. I suspect the frequency changes with the adjustment notchs on the controler. Power supplies are capable of 150 v. Current, runs up to 50a in sixteen notchs. This is cutting steel with .2mm to .3mm plain brass wire.
