Hastelloy X

Go to Google and enter the alloy. You will find some machining data if you poke around. It is a high temp alloy I think. Crome, nickel, tungstun, molybdenum, cobalt kinda stuff. Probally tough as a $2.00 steak. Good luck, Old Bill

I burn a lot of aerospace high-temp materials, Hastelloy, 718 Inconel, etc.

I don't do anything special, graphite electrodes and graphite to steel settings. It burns pretty well, much better than crappy low carbon steels, not quite as well as high quality heat treated tool steels.

Same thing with stability. If you have thin sections, (floors or sidewalls), you have to be careful because it will move, more so that toll steel. If you have substantial cross-sections, wail away at it :D

Cheers!
