I am new to this CNC stuff. Maybe you can shed some light on something for me. I recently got a new to me CNC lathe. It came with a lot of tooling that I am probably never going to use. (I probably won't even use the lathe, but that is another story for another day)
Anyway, I was hoping to sell off some of this tooling on eBay. There are a bunch of toolholders, etc. My question is this: Along with all of these toolholders and boring bars are a number of sleeves. These sleeves seem to be hardened and ground. I assume that they are reducing sleeves for the different size tools that one might have. Is there a name for such a "gizzy"? They will probably go on the bay as well. Do I just call them reducing sleeves or do they have a proper name? Any idea what that kind of stuff is worth??
Thanks a million!
