The turks are big in metalworking- they have been for a couple of thousand years, but in the last hundred years or so, they have had a system of "guest workers" who lived and worked in Germany, then returned to Turkey and started factories based on German designs.
I have a set of Turkish made plate rolls, and they are a pretty good tool for the money. Lots of Turkish copies of Kuhn blacksmithing air hammers are being sold in the USA today.
I think a good portion of the fab tools, at least, sold by Knuth are made in Turkey.
Makes sense they would buy good quality CNC machine tools to make all these other tools they are selling to us and the europeans.

Well, that didn't go so well. I guess my dad speaks it but doesn't read it. Basically, it's just hello, and he's looking for someone who speaks Turkish. Duh.
