machine goes into feed hold

Hi Guys new to the forumn. What I have is a 1980 mazak slant 15 with a fanuc 6ta control.Here is what happens spindle starts turret begins to move now goes into feed hold hit start again and will take off.If I run the machine with out the spindle running the feed moves all work fine.
Has any body out there had this problem?

Try setting your "GEAR SETTING" to "1" may be set to "ZERO".

Is the machine looking for the term spindle at speed?
Or does this machine even have that term, or something that would mean the same thing.

Excuse me. I just checked the date on the previous posts, maybe they have traded this machine for something newer.

steel cutter what do mean by try setting your gear setting to 1 may be at zero ? This is to Walt what do you mean looking for term spindle ?
