Mazak v10 1988

V10 of that vintage. What’s it packing a 6m Fanuc or an M2?

These would be DC servo’s. Mitsubishi?? I.e Does it have brushes?

I’d almost be sure that it’s incremental. Easy way to tell. Does it have two limit switches at the end of stroke were it normally homes to. One being the reference switch, the other being the over travel. (X +) It would only have one over travel switch at the other end of stroke. (X -)

It will also have a reference / home function position, on your mode selector switch.

Did you see this thing fire up. It had to be reference returned / homed out before it would do anything. Got to be incremental.

On your other thing, with the phasing error after you baked the motor and had the encoder tickled. Is the encoder orientation the same as when you dismantled it. The connection between the motor and encoder are on the same way. And that you have mounted the body of the encoder back in the same orientation?

Regards Phil.
