I`ve been offered one of these machines at a good price.Ex aerospace has Mazatrol M2 control but has a faulty spindle drive.
I suspect the spindle drive will be a Mits Frequol and this does not bother me too much.What does bother me is Mazaks reluctance to part with technical information in general.How reliable or otherwise is the M2 control,would I be able to get electrical drwgs,parameters etc without going to Mazak.
Anyone got any views,it`s a 1986 machine and the seller will probably accept about $5000.
