I need to put a 1.919 Rad. on the face of a.679 dia. part. I know I need to use the convex command with the next line being the center command. I have not had any luck with what I have put in so far. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

I take it this is a "Spherical Radius" correct?

If so: do a point to point program for your "r" as follows

*select "convex radius" as you mentioned on your post!
"x" start="0"
"z" start="0"
"x" finish= .679"
"z" finish= -.03027"
"r"=1.919"

happy rounding :D

ps: you can find the formula for "h" in you machinist's bible!!!
>> segment of a circle, you know the "r" and the base, all you need is the height ("h")
*** a little bit of trig never hurt no one :D

HotDiggittyDawg!!! well hell Michael, ever you want to learn how to make that Mazak do dances it don't like, gimmie a holler!!! Teehee hee hee

I'm glad it worked out for you, nuffen taw it / child's play!!

>>how many thousandth of pieces do you have to do?

next time Ill show you how to finger out( oops, I meant "figure out") the center of the "R" thinggiemobbobbie option!!!

I only have 30 pcs. to do. I did have to put the center of the R into the program. I was pretty close to having what I needed but just lacked the final Z.
Again thanks for your help. I am pretty much self taught on the Mazatrol which I can do most of what I want until I get to convex/concave commands with the center.
