Spindle Lube

I have a QT-8 with a T2 control. After about 2 hours of running I get an error #216. In MDI I get the error when I just try to turn the spindle on. I believe that this is a spindle lube error, but I can't find anywhere on the machine to check spindle lube, I've even looked in the repair manual and there is nothing in there about that. Can anyone advise please? Thanks to all in advance.

216 is "spindle misoperation"
that means you are trying to start spindle with something out of "synk"
such as
tool eye down
chuck open
tail quill in wrong state
turret unclamped
door open
could also be a smashed button on tool eye
or a barfeed interlock

to my knowledge there is no spindle lube
mine are one time life time grease pack

A T2 with MDI for spindle start?

I think NOT

make sure that you have actuated the chuck closed with your foot pedal before pressing your spindle start button!

Steelcutter has never heard of test mode.
Sorry some controls don't have param turned on.
