Has anyone ever used the high pressure TSC on either of these machines? I've used the 300psi on a VF2 before with facemills and drills and such, but we're looking to drill a lot of micro holes with coolant fed drills.

All of our new Haas have 1K TSC. the only draw back is if you use it alot you'll go through alot of fillters. But, then again the bennefits outway the cost of a $12.00 fillter. plus, you can use the Techniks holders that have the slot down the side of the bore and use TSC on all your tools.

Some high-end SpiderCool systems for air-craft machining use 1K psi pumps. The only consideration is that sometimes the machine can't return the coolant to tank fast enough to keep up. In this case, you can sometimes get away with retrofitting the machine with a larger return trough or or by purchasing a larger tank.

Ours have them as well.... But if you're only micro drilling or using smaller tools, you won't have a problem with the coolant return. It's usually associated with larger coolant hole stuff like facemills, spade drills, large gundrills, using large size collets, etc. A Haas factory tank and recovery is definitely way too small for a lot of this....
