i'm looking at getting a haas tm-1 mill. dos cnc need anything special with three phase. i know very little about electrical. does the power need filtering or something. someone told me that the home built phase converter i have wouldn't work and i'd need to buy a new one. can i test the power coming out of it. some help from those more knowledgable would be appreciated.

Do a search for Phase Perfect in this area of the forum. There is a lot of info here to read about them. Expensive but worth it.

Hello,
If ordering new, many CNC mills come in both single and three phase. Check it out.
As mentioned Phase Perfect is the way to go from what I understand. And yes you need " clean " power for a CNC to run.
