Out of Balance

My homemade 5hp Rotary Phase Converter was runing real good but now when i turn on the Phase Converter it's like the 5hp Idler Motor is out of Balance or out of Round. Every time i turn on the Converter it it does it, runs so bad that i can't use it. Every thing in the Converter box checks out fine. could it be the Idle Motor if not what ?

Check the idler for mud dauber nests, they can build a ten room condo in an afternoon and really unbalance things.

I used to knock dirt dobber nests down all the time, until I looked inside one real close and counted the dead spiders. I hate spiders. So I now put screens over any hole I want to keep clear of dobber nest; and let them eat all the spiders they want! Copper screen works real good for motors. You can solder the edges to make the screen stiff and shape it around the vent holes. I use the motor case bolts to hold the screens. Joe.
