I have a German- made motor, intended for 60Hz 3 PH, that I'm planning to build into a rotary phase converter. Are there any quirks or issues I should know about? I don't know if it would be considered high efficiency or any other type. It is TEFC. I can post a picture, but it mostly looks like a blue motor.

Here is info from the plate:

Dietz Motoren
Type DR 100 Lb/4n
~3PH C.Mot.No 1949876
Y 195-240/340-420
18?.8/9.7 amp
3.9kW 5.3 HP
1700 RPM cos(*).85
60Hz 1P44

Some of the characters may be off due to wear on the nameplate. I changed plans from a motor start to cap start, and balanced since I needed to buy and machine the pulley for a metric shaft and key, or just buy the electrical components and have a better system. The motor was free, but was tested and runs. I also have it wired for 220 volts, already. Is there any reason to think this wont make a good RPC? Similarly, I encouraged another member of the board to buy a larger motor from them and it would be nice to know they'll work. Thanks.
