OTS Tool Setter

might need new batteries. and yes they must be exact replacements!
i forget the exact light colours i got, but, if you dont know of any 'events' that happened then i would say its probably just the batteries

Probably the batteries. In production the probe is used for orienting, 8 hits per part, 150 parts per day, batteries usually last 6 months. Local Radio Shack normally stocks for emergency use, stock no. 23-026. Clyde

It's smart to have a couple on Hand in your crib.

I keep 4 on hand as it has happened where my Probe and tool setter both were dead at the same time.

Each Probe holds two of the 1/2 AA batteries.

I use my part probe a lot and have the tool setter located under the master pallet of the Midaco Pallet system so I use that probe very infrequently.

But twice now when my Part probe was dead and I shuttled the pallet out to steal the batteries from the tool setter, They were dead also.

So Now I keep a few on hand.

The cost of batteries should not stop production and I deal in castings so on some tight tolerance jobs I probe every casting.

Just my two cents.
