Haas VF1

When I get this '253 electronics overheat alarm' sometimes,I always check and find that 'Yes ,the Cabinet is hot' and fix the problem causing the panel overheat...

But the last few times on this Haas VF1 , I find the panel is not hot at all ..and the cooling mechanisms are all working fine.

I'm thinking that it may be a sensor malfunction....

Any idea where the 'Electronics overheat sensor' is located?

Thanks

We've had the same problem on a older vf0 and we just open the cabnet and put a little fan in the back and all worked. It would not hurt to try.

Thanks

WE do that too.

Its just that IF I knew where exactly the sensor is located.. I could direct the cooling accordingly...

I did check with Haas service..They said that the sensor is located on the MOCON (motor control board) . And that the only way to identify the fault is to swap it out...

Any way before I did that I just tried removing all the plugs and then reinserting it again on the board.... Now the problem has not reoccured for the past 2 shifts..
any way lets see...
