I keep getting intermittent servo error too large (alarms 103,104,105) in all three axes on my 97 vf-2.

when i hold the jog button the chosen axis will stutter (speed up, slow down, skip) and then finally alarm out.

any ideas on what the problem may be?

I highly doubt all 3 servo amps are toast. could it be the servo distribution power supply? It has wires going to all three servo amps and I'm getting problems in all thre axes.

I'm a mechanical kind of guy & all this electronic stuff is greek to me.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, I have checked all the connections and reseated the plugs, this seems to help for a little while.

The servo power supply is monitored by the control. On older models it'd give an error under 160v. On your's its AC, which probably has a lower bounds of 300v. You shouldn't have speed changes on an AC machine because of voltage bouncing. At low speeds the voltage is less than 100v, so even a "low" 300v would still be more than enough. Since all 3 axis drives are doing this, I'd point towards the MOTIF board being the culprit, or you've got bad encoders on 3 motors.
