Toolchange Dwell

On my VF2 SS toolchange, when the swingarm grabs both tools, it dwells for a second or two. This is at 100 or 50% I've seen the same machine with hardly any dwell whatsoever. I take i this is a parameter? Has anybody shortened their dwell time? :scratchchin:

First thing's first. Check your air pressure during a toolchange.

80 psi. while running, flicks to about 75 during a TC.

You may be at the low end of pressure required.

I know on my smallest VF-5 I was told that my pressure was low and I think I had 80 pounds then. But this CNC Department is over 1/4 mile from the compressor room so all we could do was live with it. The pressure has been stepped up now and my hesitation went away.

I also see the hesitation when dealing with Large/Heavy tools.
