Had a turret crash. Hit the wrong button and spun the turret backwards
into a 1" piece of aluminum. at first it would not seat properly, I tried the things listed in the manual and finally after a big pop the turret would seat. Now it chirps at every tool change and the tool center is about 1/4" low.

How do you make this adjustment, and how hard is it to rebuild the turret. Now there is part of a o-ring hanging out behind the turret.

this is a haas hl-2

thanks

My answer is only based on the knowledge of my SL-10/ SL-20.

Bolts are removed from the inner face of the turret, turret is removed and a new O-Ring is put in place. Take a look at the springs behind the turret, change them if rusted up.

Re-install turret and bolt loosely.

Indicate tool slots and tighten.

I forget this part, but call Haas for the Turret Crash Procedure, it's a page which lists the steps to dial the axis in. You basiaclly go into a debug mode and pop the turret to the out position and use the jog handle to dial in the "A" axis (turret servo). If you cannot get from your dealer or factory send me a PM and I'll dig it out and fax or email to you.
