I am suspecting some Z axis thrust bearings in one of the machines. Has a growl or whine at rapid. Just tired of listening to it I guess... Easy enough to swap out. I would really like to confirm the thrusts over the screw but I have reballed the ball nut to guaranteed zero backlash and still had about .0015 of lost motion so my finger is pointing.
I would need all the numbers on the bearing or the size, contact angle, and preload.
