Portland Or. Haas Tec

we use selway also and have not had any issues with their service. If your looking for an independent then I would suggest getting a hold of the person you bought the lathe from and get the number for Richard Rhoades(spelling?). That is who I was told worked on his Haas mills and the lathe. I can't vouch for mr. Rhoades but I do know that Ray Frohes(spelling?) at Frohes machine service has an outstanding reputation. Sorry, I don't have numbers for you , I won't be at the shop until monday. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the replies,

I do work with Selway I was just looking to see if there was a specific guy that any other locals use.

I know Richard and Ray actually. Ray is a seriously good guy, his family and mine go back a couple generations of friends. I usually have him out once or twice a year. But he is a busy dude and I figured a Haas guy could figure out my x axis drift issue with less head scratching.

Richard used to do the work on the my HL-2 when it was with its previous owner. I dont have his number off hand last I talked to him he was a salesman for Haundai or something.

I think I have a contact number at work for Richard , last I heard within six months is that he was back to repair work. I will pass it along Monday if you want.

Stuart is correct ,Rocky is top notch, but I didn't think of him because he is the mazak guru...lol. In fact Ray had me call him because he couldn't get to me about my qt15 soon enough. I feel confident with either Ray or Rocky and I have heard positive things about Roger Marang. FYI- Rocky should be at my shop Monday or Tuesday in the Camas area. I don't know where your at but he might be able to swing by and have a look. Good Luck.

 Making notes here. Sellway was fine the one time we had them come out to just check out our mill post delivery,. but $$. Be great to have some others to look at if we ever need them.

Last I heard Richard was working directly for a company and was no longer independent. Rocky is who we've been using for our HAAS machines. Where HAAS may not have been his specialty, the principles are the same and he does good work. I prefer Richard only because he knows our machines inside and out.
