It has been a few years since I used a Haas Toolroom lathe. I have just started with a new company and can't remember how to run it with the doors open. I know you need the chuck guard down but I am sure when I previously used a TL1 that you could run it with the sliding doors open to get a better look at what you are doing and use it as a 'manual lathe' if required.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
