I was tired of the tailstock handle bumping into the saddle every time I seemed to need it. I removed and stowed the supplied handle, removed the clamp nut from the tailstock and added a second threaded hole opposite the original one. Then, I made two nice handles from scrap. This is the result...
Since the handle is only as long as the tailstock base, it can never be interfered with by the saddle. Also, having the bilateral handles means being able to generate as much (or more) torque as with the original, single, long handle.
