You should really indicate the tip of the stylus not the body.
What do you think we are talking about here? If you've ever seen the Haas Renishaw probe the stylus adjustments are on the probe body. (I know...crazy!

If I might add onto what tc1999 has said; Yes, stylus within .0001 TIR....not the body. The body's not relevant. Whenever you change the stylus, you need to recalibrate. When you do, be sure you dial in the ring gage (or fixture or hole) to within .0002 TIR. This is one of those garbage in, garbage out things.
