Before I just contact my Haas rep in the morning, does anyone know if Haas makes a steady rest for the TL-2? I seem to recall it being an option when I bought the machine, but it wasn't needed at the time.

If not Haas, who would you folks recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Things may have changed since the tl series was updated but the old steady rests were nothing special. Actually my boss blew one up while I was away once. Don't ask me how I obviously wasn't there, but he wasn't one of those machinist that put insane pressure on steady rest bearings to make things "run concentric".
But we ended up getting some beefy steady that someone made fit into the machine. It was just held onto a plate that fit into where the stock steady would fit.
Maybe thats an idea for you?
