A Beam Drill Line that "BURNS" Holes in Steel

If you've got a lot of holes to drill in a beam or girder, a beam line (also often referred to as a drill line) has been the way to go for structural steel fabricators.
The larger structural steel supply firms all seem to have drill lines and the not-so-large fabricators wish they did. If you need to drill bolt holes of varying diameters a beam line's drill bit can be replaced, automatically in many cases, to make all the various sizes. The beam line can even figure out exactly where the various holes need to be. How? The beam line can read instructions from design software that identifies precisely where the bolt holes are to be placed. Then, the cutting tool probes to figure out its position and geometry before it starts making holes.
And fast. A beam line cuts impressively fast.
However, most structural steel sections need more than just bolt holes. Flush flange cuts, copes, notches, cut offs, piece marks . . . are just some of the other operations that are required. You will need additional machines to accomplish these other necessary jobs.
That limitation is a thing of the past. Burlington Automation of Hamilton, Ontario Canada, has developed a revolutionary fabrication piece of equipment that brings the efficiency of the drill line for making bolt holes to fabricating ALL of these other features.
What do those using this novel technology have to say about it? Here are some direct quotes:
"We looked at traditional drilling lines and realized there was no comparison. This machine performs so many more functions than any beam line that they're not even in the same category."
"We've increased our overall production by 100% since we got this new machine. Now we do double the work with the same number of employees and the same floorspace."
To understand the many advantages of this new technology that includes all the functions of a beam line, but so may more, it really helps to see it cutting practically every feature a structural steel fabricator needs. View videos of this plasma cutting super machine and its advantages over the beam line.
