Also did some work for a winery. They have these air cylinders that push down on the caps of the big fermentation drums (The caps float on top) 3-1/4" bore and 5' stroke. And only a 1" rod. They are rigidly mounted on a gantry from above and all the flexing breaks out the bushings and the seals fall out.

So I replaced the chromed steel rods with 1-3/8" 17-4 stainless turned ground polished. Needed to make new ends as well, here's two of the three I made. Seal-Guard...

Axed, Canned, whatever...

So the 16th I got canned from my job fixing welders. Said to be because they are not meeting projected budget. Either way I am not working for them anymore.

Funny thing is my Miller Certification just came yesterday!

So for now I think I am going to try do do the min my own business thing.

Right now I am making parts for a stop motion animation company. LAIKA/House. Seems to be a good company to do some work for. They pay up front!
